Trial for suspected serial rapist to begin this week

The opening statements will begin this week in the trial of a man who is accused of raping multiple woman in New Jersey.
The incidents stem from 2005 and occurred in North Bergen, Newark, and Jersey City. The 27-year-old man accused of the crime has been charged with 18 counts of sexual assault, three counts of kidnapping, six weapons offenses, one count of impersonating an officer, two counts of child abuse, 12 counts of aggravated assault. The man is being tried for each case separately because he allegedly attacked three different women.
