A former New Jersey cop has now been sentenced after allegedly robbing seven banks in 2010.
The cop has been sentenced to seven years in prison after he robbed seven banks and a pharmacy in New Jersey and Pennsylvania between July and December of 2010. The 34-year-old ex-cop in Bridgeton, N.J., totaled nearly $22,000 in the crime spree.
The man, a father of two, allegedly robbed the places in order to get money to pay financial obligations. The crimes were said to be fueled by alcohol and this is what gave the man the courage to commit them. After he released from prison, he must pay restitution of $22,361.
