Elmwood Park one of best in state for DWI arrests

The Elmwood Park Police Department was ranked the fourth best in the state of New Jersey for making DWI arrests.
The ranking for this is done by the New Jersey Drunk Driving Enforcement Fund after the police departments file for funds because they must record the number of drunk driving arrests they have made that year.
They also must record the number of sobriety checkpoints that they conducted and the amount of funds that were collected for drunk driving fines in a year.
Elmwood Park showed the largest increase in funding. One Elmwood police officers recorded 155 arrests in one year and this was the second highest rate of any officer in the state.
